Job Descriptions
While you cannot apply for specific positions, it is important to know what is required in each job area. On your application, we will ask you to select an area of preference.
Farm Store
The farm store area is broken down into several teams, all are typically customer facing. There are job positions that do not require customer service, and those jobs will be marked with as "non-customer facing".
Register Personnel
Persons who work the registers on property are among the first employees that customers interact with. You are representing the farm family with how you speak to customers, and it is important to be helpful and willing to answer questions! Each register across the property is a little different, but the standards remain the same for everyone; to be engaging, helpful, and friendly. Cash handling skills will be taught on site, but anyone with previous cashiering experience is welcome! It is your responsibility as a cashier to remain informed and communicate with your site manager about any updates or changes that are happening that day.
Store Stocker
Stocking the store is essential in the customer experience here. The job includes having to lift things that can weigh up to 50 lbs, being detail orineted, self-motivated, able to take instructions well, works quickly and independently. Stockers are cross trained on registers.
Cider Stocker
The sole responsibility of this team, often made up of one or two people, is to keep the refrigerators stocked full of cider. Sometimes this includes rearranging and organizing cider in cold storage. This job requires that you are able to lift up to 50 lbs, but is not always necessary. This team works independently and in cooler areas of the farm store. These people need to be able to take directions quickly. This is not necessarily a customer facing job. Sometime you will be stopped by customers to answer questions.
Fruit Sorting
Sorting fruit is taught on site, and this is a non-customer facing job. Often, this is not the only job that you will do in a day, but it is possible that you can work a whole day doing just sorting. This is a cross-trained position.
Clean Team
The responsibility of this team ranges in breadth and responsibility depending on the day, and area of work. Some days it may include collecting trash outside, washing dishes, and changing trash can liners. Other days it may include cleaning bathrooms, breaking down cardboard, sweeping farm store areas, or wiping down surfaces in the bakery. This is a non-customer facing job
Donut Bakery & Factory
The bakery and factory are two places that have the most non-customer facing options. While this can be helpful for people who prefer this kind of job, team work and communication is still necessary!

Bagging
This is a non-customer facing job and you are only responsible for putting donuts into bags. It is a quick-paced job that requires some dexterity and nimbleness.
Folding
This is a non-customer facing job and you are only responsible for folding the bags of donuts. It is important to note that donuts bag folding needs to be neat and not crumpled. Folders also need to be quick and nimble.
Donut Machine
18+ years old to operate the donut machine. These people are responsible for actually making the donuts, keeping their station clean and operable, keeping donuts in good condition, and communicating with their manager about what kid of donuts to make and when to stop. They also need to help with end of day cleaning of their donut machine.

Outdoor Employees
If you enjoy being outside, then we have some good options for you! Most of these positions are customer facing, or require some level of customer interaction.

Ramp Attendants
If you like to be outside, work independently, and enjoy chatting with people, ramp attendant might be a great fit for you! Your responsibilities include helping people get on and off the hayrides safely, give directions, help hayride drivers line up their wagon, and give safety speeches to passengers.
Bag Checkers
Your responsibility as a bag checker is to make sure that people leaving the orchard have their bags properly marked, to indicate they have finsihed picking. This does require someone who is vocal and willing to approach customers.
Parking
The parking team is an essential part to the functioning of the entire farm, and consists of a small group of people who operate as their own team. Their group of people need to be good at communicating, taking directions, and carrying out those directions quickly and efficiently.
Grill
The grill is an excellent option for people who have any experience with food service, or are looking to get some experience in that area. Most of the job positions require some level of customer interaction.

Food Packer
Food handling and packing are the two main responsibilities of these people. Some days you may be responsible for restocking some food items, This is generally a non-customer facing role.
Griller
18+ years old requirement. This person will be responsible for cooking the food under the supervision of the grill manager. This person needs to be able to take direction, act independently, and communicate well with the team.
